Air Fryer Pita Chips are a crunchy, delicious way to dip your dip. Three ingredients and 5 minutes yield the best pita chips ever.
Healthy Air Fryer Pita Chips
Some people in my house, not naming any names (ahem... Cowboy...) think every meal should have something crunchy. Like I've seen some of the strangest things imaginable eaten on a tortilla chip.
For him, corn on a tortilla chip is a staple. He ate creamed spinach on a tortilla chip the other day (he swore he thought it was Spinach Artichoke dip). Everything with a Mexican flair, for sure. Let me just simplify it to say--almost everything is scooped up on a tortilla chip or potato chips and eaten.
He really loves it when I make any kind of homemade chips. Homemade tortilla chips and these homemade Air Fryer Pita Chips recipes are some of the favorites. Let the crunchy guy be happy!
Guess what, I love them too. They remind me of the fried pita chips we get at a local Greek restaurant that they serve with Spicy Feta Dip. Lordy... I love that dip with these pita chips.
But these little crunchy morsels are also good for all kinds of scooping and dipping and since they are baked, they are a bit lower in calories and fat.
Try them with any of our favorite dips or your favorite hummus.

TOP TIPS
For best results, brush on olive oil generously and make sure you bake until crispy. Don't remove from the Air Fryer too early to ensure you have crispy pita chips.
SUBSTITUTIONS AND VARIATIONS
Make your own pita chips flavor to serve as a delicious snack.
Oven Pita Chips--Don't have an Air Fryer? Bake these chips in the oven instead. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the oiled pitas in a single layer. Bake in a preheated oven at 400 for 5-8 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Turn halfway through baking.
Cheesy Air Fryer Pita Chips--Sprinkle with a little parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning along with the salt.
Ranch Air Fryer Pita Chips--Sprinkle oiled pitas with ranch dressing powder.
Cinnamon and Sugar Pita Chips--Sprinkle the pita pieces with a cinnamon sugar mixture instead of salt for a sweet treat.
STORAGE
Store leftover Air Fryer Pita Chips in an airtight container at room temperature. I like reusing the bag the pitas came in, but a Ziplock bag works nicely too. They store for a long time, but after 2-3 days, you might find they benefit from being crisped up again in the Air Fryer.
