Ranch Cottage Cheese Dip is a healthy, easy-to-make, delicious version of the much- loved ranch dip and dressing.

    ready-to-serve ranch cottage cheese dip.

    Healthy Ranch Dip

This whipped cottage cheese dip is a brilliant, healthy, stand-in for one of our family's less-healthy favorite ranch dips.

Now before you curl your nose up at the idea of dipping your veggies in cottage cheese, you should know that Ranch Cottage Cheese Dip has a creamy texture, is high in protein, low in calories, and is packed with flavor!

And, don't tell the kids, but this healthy veggie dip is one of my secret mom weapons. While I finish cooking supper, the house is typically filling up and everyone is inevitably starving.

I use this fragile moment to my advantage.

I throw some baby carrots, celery sticks, cucumber slices, Air Fryer Pita Chips, and some pepper slices on a plate with a bowl of this dipping goodness. And guess what, the family will get a good serving of veggies in their belly before supper even starts!

Get out your food processor or blender and give this whipped cottage cheese dip a whirl!

Ingredients for Ranch Cottage Cheese Dip

Just a few simple ingredients and dried or fresh herbs are between you and healthy ranch dressing or high protein dip.

    • 1 Cup of Cottage Cheese
    • Sour Cream or Plain Greek Yogurt--I used full fat greek yogurt
    • Fresh Garlic Clove
    • Garlic Powder
    • Fresh Dill Weed or Dried
    • Basil
    • Thyme
    • Parsley
    • Black Pepper
    • Kosher Salt
    ingredients for dip.

How to Make Ranch Cottage Cheese Dip

    1. In a food processor or blender, add all ingredients.
    2. Process or blend until the creamy dip is completely smooth.
    3. Add a splash of water or milk if needed to get the desired consistency.
    4. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired. Refrigerate and allow flavors to meld.
    5. Serve as a dip with fresh vegetables, potato chips, pita chips, etc. Or thin slightly and replace your classic ranch dressing.

    Top Tips

Be sure to half the recipe if you don't think you will eat the dip/dressing within a week.

Why Use Cottage Cheese in Dips?

This healthy Ranch Dip tastes like our usual creamy ranch dip or salad dressing but has some great health benefits.

    • Low calorie dip and salad dressing
    • Flexible as both a dip and a dressing
    • High in calcium for strong bones
    • Higher in protein than typical ranch dips
    • Low carb dip
    • It's an easy dip to mix up
    • Fewer grams of fat

    SUBSTITUTIONS AND VARIATIONS

Homemade Cottage Cheese Ranch Dressing--Add a splash of milk or water to thin this dip to dressing consistency.

Mix up the Herbs--Mix up the herbs to match your taste. I like extra dill in mine. Add onion powder, some chopped green onions, a little cayenne pepper, snipped fresh chives,

Easy Cottage Cheese Ranch Dressing--Use a packet of ranch seasoning instead of the herbs and seasonings.

Bacon Ranch Cottage Cheese Dip--Stir in some cooked, crumbled bacon or store-bought bacon bits.

    STORAGE

Store leftover Ranch Cottage Cheese Dip in an airtight container in the fridge for 5-7 days.

What to Serve with Ranch Cottage Cheese Dip

Any veggie is perfect alongside this dip. We like to have a colorful plate that includes sliced bell peppers, celery, cucumber, broccoli, and cauliflower.
