In a large bowl, cream the ⅓ cup Butter and ⅓ cup Shortening together.
Add the ½ cup White Sugar and ½ cup Brown Sugar to the butter mixture and stir well.
Mix in the 1 large Egg and 1 teaspoon Vanilla, just until combined.
Gradually add the 1 ½ cups All-Purpose Flour, 2 ¼ teaspoons Baking Powder, and ¾ teaspoon Kosher Salt. Mix until combined. ***If using self-rising flour, eliminate the baking powder and salt.
Fold in ½ cup Mini Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips and ½ cup Finely Chopped Pecans.
Using a small cookie scoop, drop onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake cookies at 375 degrees F for 9-11 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
Cool for 1-2 minutes on the cookie sheet before removing them to a wire cooling rack.
